Patch 1.0.5.8 for the FWO UE5 Client (Alpha) is live. Just start FWOLauncher.exe - it downloads the update (about 5 MB) automatically. The new server events are switched on.
What's new:
- Weekly world boss: from Saturday 14 November, every Saturday at 20:00 Malaysia time (12:00 UTC) a world boss awakens in an outdoor zone while a storm rolls in. First up: Jiaolong, the Storm Wyrm, in the north field of Fishing Village. Everyone who fights it shares the spoils: Hero Points plus epic or legendary gear. The countdown runs in #world-boss on our Discord.
- Calendar events: on full-moon nights the Blood Moon rises and its creatures roam six hunting grounds until dawn. Meteor-shower nights and the original Chinese New Year and Dragon Boat festivals come back at their real dates. Notices appear in #events on our Discord.
- Returning heroes: if you come back after 30 days or more, look for Lan Yue, Guide of Returning Heroes, in Yong Le District 1. She tells you what happened while you were away and has a welcome-back gift (level 10 and up, once per character).
- 108 new English texts for these events. Players of the original 2003 client get the same texts through its updater.
